Bryan is a Partner at Hanabi Capital, where he brings a technical and operational mindset to investing in the next generation of AI and infrastructure businesses. 

Bryan started investing in 2018 as a Partner at Index Ventures, and has served as a board director for companies including Temporal, Starburst, Lightning AI, and Adaptive ML. He’s also invested in transformative businesses such as LiveKit, Ollama, and Superlinked. He’s particularly drawn to startups that are reimagining how developers and data teams work—from real-time infrastructure to privacy tooling. 

Before VC, Bryan was an infrastructure engineer and product manager at Palantir, where he was the product and technical lead for the Search and Indexing team on Palantir’s Government platform. He led efforts on distributed data sharing, ingestion pipelines, and large-scale search systems. He later joined MemSQL (now SingleStore) as a product manager, overseeing everything outside of the core query engine.

Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford, where he focused on artificial intelligence.
